Overview

Media Club is a very important part of modern education. It gives voice to the students and provides them exposure to the media and broadcast segment. It brings students together outside of the classroom to create multimedia productions, from producing films to recording music.

So we are pleased to submit this proposal to support and show the student’s talent in mass media through this club. This club will also try to boost the club member’s confidence along with the other students.

The Objective

This club will take care of every events that happening at Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management, Balmatta.

It includes Poster Designing, Photography, Videography, Editing and Handling the Social Media.

It makes all the students and teachers aware and updated about what is happening in the college.

The Vision

This club will provide a platform to showcase and the achievements of the college and its students.

It develops skills to deconstruct media messages by making them understand the constructed nature of media.

To lift standards by unleashing the glorious potential of students.

It provides a platform for the students to improve their soft-skills which further impart self-confidence and stage courage in them.

It develops among students an understanding of the effects of mass media on themselves as individuals and also upon society. This also introduces students to various career opportunities in mass media.

The Mission

To enhance connectivity between college activities and students.

To advertise and promote various college events through digital marketing.

To motivate students to pursue journalism as their career.

To build leadership quality among students.

To develop creativity among students.

The Solution

If a student don’t have equipment but they are interested to join, for them the club will take care of it and give them maximum support for their best output.

When a program is happening we cannot always depend on university photographers as they have to come from university.

Students are not aware of the programs that are happening in the college, this club will keep update students that what is happening at college through social media.

What is Yhite ?

Yhite is a media club at Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management. It is a club that provides a platform to showcase and the achievements of the college and its students.

Why the name Yhite?

Yhite pronounces White, White is the color of certainty, of illumination, and of sight, and we associate it with knowledge and learning. White is inviolable, the color that reveals distasteful by comparison with its purity. White stands for purity, its simplicity untainted by any other hue.

Every artists, designers, editors etcetera always starts on a white canvas or white sequence. So we chose the name white with little changes as Yhite for this club.

How does it work?

The club will take total students of 24, 2 students from each department and from 1st, 2nd and 3rd year. So it will give equal opportunity for everyone.

When a program happening at respective department the club member of that respective department will take care of that event and he/she will report to the club head. So the other department members will not miss the class on the name of the club.

When a final year member is graduated, the next final year batch will handle the club as we guide and shown them. It will make a good leadership quality and a responsible person among the club members.

Conclusion

Media club provides student much-needed exposure in mass media and journalism. It improves their thought process, decision making and helps them to build their own opinions from an early age.

The idea behind these two initiatives is fairly simple, it is to have two media outlets where Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management’s highlights and achievements will be broadcasted and these initiatives will be student run.
